DDS Utilities Awarded Three Year Contract Extension with Energy East
DDS Utilities, Inc. (DDSU) is pleased to announce the extension of their Gas Construction term contracts with Energy East for an additional 3 years. In addition, DDSU has been awarded the term contract for gas construction work in the Geneva NYSEG territory. “We appreciate Energy East’s confidence in our organization, and we are excited to extend our service area once again.” said DDS President Sean Donohoe.

DDS Utilities Inc. is Energy East’s largest Gas Pipeline Contractor, providing gas construction services for Rochester Gas & Electric and NYSEG in Western, Central, and Southern New York.

DDS Constructors has been awarded the site work contract for Alexander Park in the City of Rochester.
This project, owned by Buckingham Properties, consists of the construction of 2 new medical office buildings on the former Genesee Hospital site. The project has begun and is scheduled to be complete in late 2010.

The DDS Companies ranked number 1500 on Inc. Magazine’s 2009 Top 5,000 List. The list is a ranking of the fastest growing privately owned companies in the U.S. and serves as a benchmark for the most innovative, dynamic and successful companies in the nation.

DDS Constructors has been awarded the site contract for a new Senior Living Facility in Farmington, NY.
This project consists of the construction of a dedicated Town Road as well as the facility site. This project, being constructed by DGA Builders, consists of a 90,000 SF assisted living facility that is scheduled to open in late 2010.

Walmart Supercenter in Cortland, NY
DDS Constructors has been awarded and begun work on a new Walmart Supercenter in Cortland, NY. The scope includes all site work for the new 200,000 SF building as well as highway improvements on NYS Route 13. The project is scheduled for completion in mid 2010.

Walmart Store in Geneva, NY
DDS Constructors has begun work on expansion of the Walmart Store in Geneva, NY. This project, being performed for Burgio & Campofelice, consists of a major expansion of the site and conversion of the store to a Super-Walmart. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2010.

Prism project at the University of Rochester
Final duct bank connections are being made to the underground vault at the Prism Project. The project is scheduled to be complete in the Fall of 2009.

Prism project at the University of Rochester
DDS Constructors continued work on the Prism project at the University of Rochester. The project consists of the construction of a new underground electric vault (24 feet deep) and the relocation of various underground utilities in preparation for a future building expansion.

DDS Utilities Awarded 15 year Contract
The DDS Companies are proud to announce that DDS Utilities has been awarded a 15 year contract with the New York State Office of General Services (NYSOGS) to provide telecommunication construction services throughout all of western New York. This contract provides the means for state, county, and local public institutions to hire DDS directly to perform inside and outside plant telecom construction and services.

The DDS Companies Continue Expansion into the Fingerlakes Region
DDS Utilities, Inc. has been awarded a term contract for gas construction work in the Binghamton and Oneonta service areas of New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG). Under this contract, DDS will be the sole provider of gas construction services in the area, including gas main replacements, extensions, and service work.

“The total work represented by all of our NYSEG contracts now exceeds the volume we perform with RG&E in Rochester,” said Sean Donohoe, President. “These contracts will result in the largest expansion of our company and workforce to date. We are currently looking at locations for a satellite office in the fingerlakes to accommodate this growth, and the potential growth of all of our business in this region.”

DDS Utilities Expands Service Area
DDS Utilities, Inc. has been awarded a term contract for gas construction work in the Ithaca/Cortland service areas of New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG). This contract award was the result of exceptional performance on a previous term contract the NYSEG in the Auburn service area. Under this contract, DDS will be the sole provider of gas construction services in the area, including gas main replacements, extensions, and service work.

“We are excited to expand our services with NYSEG. The Ithaca/Cortland area is a natural expansion of our previous work in Auburn, and we’re confident we can manage this assignment while maintaining our high standards for quality and workmanship in all of our service areas.” said Sean Donohoe, President.

The DDS Companies Ranks 59th in the Nation for Fastest Growing Privately Held Construction Companies

The DDS Companies ranked number 1084 on Inc. Magazine’s 2008 Top 5,000 List. The list is a ranking of the fastest growing privately owned companies in the U.S. and serves as a benchmark for the most innovative, dynamic and successful companies in the nation. The DDS Companies earned this ranking based upon its three year revenue growth of 346.3%.

The DDS Companies ranks fourth in New York State and number 59 overall in the Construction category.

Todd Rickard has been named Vice President for DDS Constructors LLC.
Todd has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry and previously acted as Senior Project Manager for the Company. In his new role, Todd will be responsible for overseeing all operations for DDS Constructors including estimating, project management and field operations.

DDS Constructors began work on the Price Rite Grocery Store in May of 2008.
Located on University Avenue in Rochester, the site work package includes grading, curbing, paving, sidewalk installation and landscaping. DDS Utilities, Inc. will be performing the utility installation. Demolition of the existing building and foundation as well as excavation for the new walls is now complete, and site work has now commenced. This project is scheduled for completion at the end of September 2008.

July 2008
DDS Constructors began work on the parking lot improvements for Johnson & Johnson’s Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics Division in June of 2008. Located off of Weiland Road in Rochester, NY, the sitework package includes the excavation of the existing parking lot, installation of the new stone base, construction of new concrete curbing and sidewalks, and the new asphalt pavement. In addition, large areas of the proposed lot were undercut to remove poor soils prior to construction. The lot is scheduled to open August 1, 2008.

June 2008
DDS Utilities is currently working on the relocation of 975 ft. of 24” steel gas line for RG&E, which when finished, will be the future home of the new Kohl’s store in Victor, NY. The project began the last week of May and is scheduled for completion by the end of June. This project is RG&E’s largest of its kind in 8 years! As a result of our first-rate execution on a project of such magnitude, DDS Utilities has been awarded (2) additional 20” steel gas line replacement jobs locally for RG&E. The additional projects, located on Brooks Ave and Paul Rd in Rochester, are scheduled to commence in early July.

The DDS Companies' CFO named as the recipent of the Businesswoman of the Year
Chief Financial Officer of The DDS Companies (DDS), Victoria B. Damon, is the recipent of the Rochester Women’s Network Up & Coming Businesswomen’s Award for the year 2008.

Each year the Rochester Women's Network recognizes a select group of local women who have been in their career fields for less than 10 years, and have made an impact by demonstrating the highest levels of achievement in their professions. The nominees include women who have successfully demonstrated professional influence in their fields through their accomplishments, career growth, advancement, innovation, creative thinking, and initiative.

The DDS Companies (DDS) has been named one of Rochester's Top 100 Companies for 2007. Nominated companies are ranked according to revenue growth both in terms of dollar and percentage increases. In the last three years, DDS revenues have increased by 462 percent and employment has increased by over 580 percent.

The Rochester Top 100, is a program that salutes high performing companies, and is sponsored by the Rochester Business Alliance and the local office of KPMG LLP, a worldwide accounting firm. Eligible companies must be privately held, have revenue of at least $1 million in each of the three most recent fiscal years, and be headquartered in the greater Rochester area. 235 companies were nominated for this year’s prestigious award.

Entrepreneur Chosen as Finalist for Small Business Council 2007 Business Person of the Year Award
Sean G. Donohoe P.E., President and founder of The DDS Companies, has been recognized as one of six finalists for the Small Business Council Business Person of the Year award. The Small Business Council is an affiliate of Rochester's Chamber of Commerce, the Rochester Business Council (RBA). Nominations were open to business professionals who operate businesses that employ fewer than 500 people in the Rochester area, and set a high standard of accomplishment in both business and the community.

The DDS Companies includes DDS Constructors, DDS Engineers, and DDS Utilities, Inc. The three companies work together to provide civil engineering site planning and design, site construction, and underground utility construction to a variety of customers that include land developers, home builders, utility companies, and telecommunications companies.

The DDS Companies names new Director Health, Safety and Environment
The DDS Companies have added Kenneth P. Jackson of East Rochester as Director of Health, Safety and Environment. He brings over 15 years of experience to the position.

Ken has a Master's Degree in Industrial Hygiene and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist. He is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner. Ken is responsible for ensuring that work operations do not harm people, the community, or the environment. Ken will provide support to all three divisions of The DDS Companies.

The DDS Companies names new Estimating Manager
DDS Constructors, LLC has hired James R. Hammond of Bloomfield, Ontario County as Estimating Manager. He brings over 34 years of highway and heavy construction experience to the position. Jim is responsible for the development of construction estimates and budgets by analyzing the actual costs versus estimated costs.
